Paula Knorr, the queen of lavish evening wear and draping, returned to London Fashion Week, bringing with her, a collection of Swarovski crystal adorned dresses, tops and trousers. Adding a contemporary adaptation to evening wear, her unprecedented design technique, use of oversized sequins, asymmetric cuts and geometric silver shapes fused to create the luxury, elegant evening wear for which Knorr is known.
Throughout the collection, brave, figure hugging silhouettes, layered with experimental draping are covered with gentle crystal placement and delicate sequins. Merging luxury with comfort, Knorr includes a sportive element in her collection, combining gentle fabrics of jersey and lycra alongside more lavish fabrics, creating comfort, flexible drapes and rushing within her elegant designs and allowing for a gentle fluid movement to the garments.

Demonstrating a captivating contrast against the sport focus of the collection, a combination of fluid satin fabrics, soft lame velvets with a glossy liquid shine, in bright neon’s, rich wine reds, and soft blush pinks embellished with a blend of mesmerizing sequins and iridescent Swarovski crystals.
Included within the collection, a signature Paula Knorr design featured a contrast of the elegant and sportive design. A partially translucent, fitted black mesh top, presenting a high neck and fitted sleeves ending at the elbow, embellished with a delicate placement of Swarovski crystals acted as the highlight of the garment. Further accentuating the outfit, black fitted trousers in a glossy lycra material presented a unique draping effect falling from a fitted wait from which the two aspects of the ensemble merged, creating the illusion of a dress.
Incorporating geometric silver shapes, a line of jewelry created by Paula Knorr worn alongside the collection complemented the asymmetric shapes, luxurious sequins and crystals exhibited throughout the line. Creating a collection of allure, elegance and luxury, Knorr once again demonstrated her complementary design technique, unique tailoring and understanding of the female form for her AW19 collection.
